Why is Nutrition for Soccer Players important?

I can give you as much information on nutrition as you want, however, if you do not understand the importance, the likelihood of you actually applying this information is slim to none.

The more we ask of our body, the more we need to fuel it in order for the body to continue to do all that we ask it to do.

Soccer puts great demand on the body: long distance running, sprinting, jumping, coming to abrupt stops, changing direction, tackling, passing, shooting, kicking and cutting to name a few.

What we put into our body will directly effect it's output, physically and mentally.

Sub-par fueling = sub-par output (energy, strength, focus) = sub-par performance
